The Nautical Institute, has developed a comprehensive stability training course based on IMO Assembly Resolution A.891(21).

Fulfils Flag State Requirements: This course is designed to meet the international flag state training requirements for Ballast Control Operators (BCOs), Barge Supervisors (BSs), and Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs) serving aboard vessels operating under Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements.

Officially Approved: The system has been officially approved for individuals seeking these licenses on vessels registered in the Marshall Islands and Vanuatu.

Pathway to BCO Certification: The course serves as the foundational step towards obtaining Ballast Control Operator (BCO) Certification. Qualified individuals can achieve this certification by documenting their sea time and demonstrating successful completion of key ballast control tasks.
