Offshore Revalidation Timeline

 

Revalidation of Limited/Unlimited or Unclassed DP Certificates

 

From 1st January 2024, the requirements to revalidate your DP certificate have changed.

 

To make sure that DP Operators keep pace with the developing standards in a fast changing industry, in addition to completing 150 DP days within the previous five years, DPO’s will be asked to demonstrate Continuing Professional Development.

 

To revalidate your DP certificate, you will need to:

 

    • Complete one year of an NI approved Continuing Professional Development programme, AND The NI Revalidation Online Exam.   

OR

    • Complete the DP Refresher and Competency Assessment Course

 

 

  • If you have between 30 -150 days of sea time - You must complete the NI DP Refresher Course

 

  • If you have less than 30 days of sea time - You must complete the NI DP Revalidation Course

 

The indemnity letter is not to be used by the applicant to complete any of the sea time requirements for their application.
