Offshore Revalidation Requirements:

• Confirm 150 days of DP sea time/DP activities in the last 5 years.

• Complete required years an NI-approved Continuing Professional Development programme.

• Pass the NI Revalidation Online Exam (70% pass mark).   

Other Options

Complete the DP Refresher and Competency Assessment Course or Revalidation Course. 

• • If you have between 30-150 day of sea time – you must complete the NI DP Refresher Course
  • If you have less than 30  days of sea time – you must complete the NI  DP  Revalidation Course

If you have the required 150 days of sea time but still need to complete the CPD or Refresher course requirements, you can still submit your online application.  

Once you have completed the payment, the indemnity letter will be sent to your email address.  The indemnity letter will be valid for 12-months to allow you to complete the remaining requirements. 

Your certificate will remain valid during this time.

If the sea time requirement has been met, but the CPD/Revalidation exam or courses have not yet been completed, you will still be able to submit your application, please see Option 2 on the chart and read the important information that follows.

If Option 2 is selected, please note your sea time will remain valid. Once the other requirements have been completed, log back into your account and click on submit for your application to be entered into the processing queue.
